Installation Instructions
1) Copy the
CompunixCommon.dlldownloaded from the
Code Base
link into /bin directory.
2) Run the licensing SQL script on your http://(yourdomain)/Admin/runsql.aspx" page. If you don't have a license, send an email to support@compunix.us with your order number and domain information.
3) Copy/Merge the files from the "Modified files" directory in the .zip file to your web site's root folder. Note, the files from our Skins->Default folder should be placed to your "Active Skin" folder.
4) Navigate to http://(yourdomain)/facebookshop page to install the add-on and observe the "Installation Successfull" notification
5) Once the Add-On is installed sign into Facebook, and then navigate to developers page and in the upper right of the screen click “+ Add a New App”
6) After entering an app name and submitting verification fill out the required info on the Settings basic and advanced dialogs
7) Custom settings:
- Top Banner: If you would like to insert your own "top banner", setup a topic and name it "facebookTop". The app will automatically detect it, and replace it with the current generic title. Max width is 495pixels. Height is unlimited. If using an image, you must use a full src path (ex: http://www.ecommercecartmods.com/images/facebooktop.jpg).
- Specify categories to appear on Facebook: Create an appconfig called FacebookCategoryIDs Enter a comma delimited list of category ids to display on Facebook.
- First Products Displayed (homepage):
1) Setup an appconfig with a comma delimited list of product ids (1,2,3), and name it "FacebookHomeProducts".
2) If the above appconfig is not set, the "FacebookHomeProductsCategoryID" appconfig will be used.
3) If none of the above appconfigs are set, all products will be listed on the homepage.
- Affiliate tracking - Create an appconfig called FacebookAffiliateID, and assign it the facebook affiliate id.
